Karen Christ, DVM
Associate Urgent Care Veterinarian and Director of Urgent Care Services

Dr. Karen Christ is a proud “Double Dawg” obtaining both her undergraduate and DVM degrees from The University of Georgia. She and her husband, also a veterinarian, moved from Athens, GA to Colorado in 2019 in search of adventure in the great outdoors. She lives in Arvada with her 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 1 hognose snake. She joined our Urgent Care team in the beginning of 2023, and while she knows it can be scary to bring your pets in when they aren’t feeling well, she loves the reward of making them better. She strives to be an active listener, answering all of your questions with an emphasis on client education at each visit, empowering you to be an active partner in your pet’s care

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT ARE YOUR URGENT CARE HOURS?

Our urgent care hours are 9 AM to 9 PM Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Our general practice hours will remain the same - Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 7 AM to 5 PM, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 AM to 7 PM, and Saturday from 8 AM to noon.

WHERE IS THE URGENT CARE FACILITY LOCATED?

13648 Orchard Parkway Suite 700, Westminster, CO 80023. Our urgent care facility entrance is next door to our general practice entrance on the east side or right of our general practice door if you're facing the building.

WHAT TYPES OF ANIMALS DO YOU SEE?

Dogs, cats, small mammals, and small reptiles (box turtles, small lizards, snakes, etc.)

DO I NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO BE SEEN?

We do prefer that you, at a minimum, give us a call to let us know what is going on with your pet so that we may prepare for your arrival and give you important information as needed. Keep in mind that there is also a possibility that we may fill up for the day and that we will ALWAYS give priority to the more severe case upon arrival.

DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS OR TAKE INSURANCE?

Unfortunatley, we do not offer payment plans at this time. Payment will be owed in full for services rendered during your visit. A deposit may also be required at check-in. However, we do accept CareCredit and will send any information/medical records to your chosen pet insurance company. .
