Signs of an emergency include:

  • Difficulty breathing
  • Trauma
  • Excessive bleeding, collapse
  • Sudden weakness, vomiting (especially with blood)
  • Having witnessed ingestion of a foreign body or toxin
  • Difficulty urinating or vocalizing when urinating, swelling in the abdomen or face

If you see any symptom that is causing you concern then your pet should be evaluated by a veterinarian.
